Insurance Consumer Protection Principles

The Insurance Authority (IA) is considered the regulator and supervisor of the insurance industry in general, insurance and/or reinsurance companies and Insurance Services Providers. Such companies are licensed by SAMA and authorized to operate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since the issuance of the Cooperative Insurance Companies Control Law promulgated by Royal Decree No. (M/32) And on 06/02/1424 AH, SAMA works to protect the interests of the client and to ensure that dealings with the client are done fairly and professionally.

The protection of insurance clients in the Kingdom is a strategic and desired goal that SAMA always seeks to achieve by issuing principles that help insurance companies provide the required level of fair treatment and honesty.
